Message: Notice that 7 out of the 10 are CHEVY'S! I have a Ford with a V10, and it beats all of them. Chevy doesn't even have anything bigger than a V8.

No Dodges, I thought these trucks were supposed to be such gas guzzlers!
My Quad, 4.7, loaded with a Leer shell gets 20 on the hwy, @80mph.

Message: I have to drive a Chevy Suburban 2500 for work. It has the 6.0L Vortec and a 40 gal. gas tank. I'm just glad it isn't my personal vehicle. When you have to pay $50+ just for a fill up is ridiculous. It's a guzzler. Pulls boats really well but holy crap is it a hog.
But my 4.7L Dak does just fine. 15-20mpg and $25-$26 to fill it up. Not bad at all. I'm just glad I drive my work truck more than my personal truck. Someone else gets to pay for the gas!!!

Message: sometimes I think I should top the list. I get 10/14 with my 30% city- 70% highway, combined 12.5-13.2 (not with overhead computer).

Message: I would like to know what drivetrain combo gives the 10/12 MPG for the GMs. The 5.3/auto/4x4 is rated at 14/18. Is the 10/12 for the 6.0/auto/4x4? I have a friend with a 6.0/auto/4x4 in a GMC Sierra 2500 with 4.10 gears and he claims to get 14 MPG on the highway. I just tend to be skeptical of data on MSN since I've seen some blatant errors in the past.
