Message: Bob, Although the code is related to engine temp, I have to believe your 180 degree t-stat is bad and stuck open. I live in Delaware and it was 19 degrees this morning on my ride into work. I have the 180 degree t-stat in my truck, and it came up to its (now) operating temp, no codes, and plenty of heat. I'd suggest you change the t-stat, but stay with the 180 degree one.
Just my 2 cents worth,

Message: Hey thanks, you might be right I'll check it out, I was going to take the fan back off and see if it made a diff. Do you know how to get the light to go off.

Message: I asked the folks at AutoZone and they told me to disconnect the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes and it turns out the light. I also have read that you can disconnect the negative battery cable and turning the key to run or start for 15-20 seconds will do the same thing. I did the 15 min thing when my check engine light came on for a different problem and it worked for me.
