No, the magnum truck engines...3.9, 5.2, and 5.9...are holdovers from ancient Chrysler Corp. engines of yore...made by Neanderthal Motors, Inc. ;-) The 4.7 V8 is a recent Chrysler built design, as is the new HEMI! The Mitsu engines wound up in passenger cars and minivans, as far as I know.

I have been informed that the engine blocks at least are cast by Cummins. I guess it's the some Cummins that makes the beloved desiels.
