Message: When you locate it further upstream it's going to sense cooler (denser) air and therefore the fuel mixture will be a little richer.

Message: Which engine do you have?? If it's a 4.7, it is screwed into your intake manifold right next to the throttle body on the driver's side.

Message: Kinda on the same subject. Now that it's cold down here in florida, should I put the IAT back in the manifold. Is too cold of air a bad thing? Thanks
As for relocating it. Here's what I did. I removed it from the manifold and then got a 1/4 inch thread plug from my local ace hardware and screwed it in the hole. I then got some 16 gauge wire and extended the IAT so that it was long enough to drop into the old intake filter box (not used due to eldebrock 10" intake). I then put some crimp connectors to splice wires together and when I was at my local u pull apart I got some wire cover sleeving off an engine and slid it over the bare wires. Looks factory now. HOPE IT HELPS

Message: It is not cold here down in Florida. It was only 55 yesterday, thats not cold! Bah... you Floridians... putting on heavy winter jackets, gloves, and hats when the temperature gets below 65 down here, what is the world coming to?
Heck, thats like... -perfect- weather.
Oh... er... as for your question I have no idea. I plan on leaving mine in when I drive home to Michigan for Christmas. So I'll let you know when I get back. If it's ok up there, it'll be fine here. :0)

Message: Well, I am up in Canada and a few days ago with the windchill went down to about -40 degrees F. I have relocated my IAT and it seems fine. Of course I do use a lot more gas in the winter, but I think this is ok....I hope!
