 Subject: Cruise nights and kids

Ok, in my area of Michigan, we love to cruise on Friday and Saturday. I'm pretty sure its the same everwhere, so I'd like a few opinions on this. Heres the story:
A friend of mine and myself went to a local cruise spot ( a 50's style McDonalds) which is where alot of the older more mature people like to bring their 60's and 70's hot rods and muscle cars. Lately it has been getting invaded by younger kids with their rice rockets and mustangs. These kids enjoy burning out and generally causing a ruckus when they leave, so the local P.D. has been heavily watching the area lately. Thats ok, because the adults with the nicer cars are cool headed. But the police dept. basically told us to calm the kids down, or they will shut down the cruise spot for good!!! Being 18 myself, I get nasty looks when I pull in. I have my dakota, but I park away from the nicer vehicles to give them their 15 minutes of fame. Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did it work out? How can we calm the kids down without causing fights and riots? Any opinions are appreciated...email or post replys.
