Message: a store around my way has the rust-oleum do it yourself epoxy bed liner kit on sale for $19.99 which will do one bed. normal price for this is $79.99 Has any one used the rust-oleum bed liner kit? I don't do a lot of hauling but the paint in the bed has a lot of scratches. People tell me dodge uses a soft primer so the paint does scratch easily. And I know the $400 spray in stuff is the best, but if i can do it for $ 20 and it looks good and gives more protection. What do you guys think. Is it any good.

Message: md, you and M.D.?
I'm a P.A.-C.
anyway, I didn't do it the do it yourself way.
I started with a nice over the rail drop-in, changed to a 'Perma-tech' spray in over the rail, for $300, right before I put on a Leer shell.
Anyway,
For $20, I'd go for it, rust o leum is a good company.

and i've got a aluminum tail gate cover and side covers so this will do the bed nicely. i figure i can always cover it with a bedliner if it doesn't work

Message: I used 2 gallons of the plastikote stuff. It cost me 80 dollars total, and I am pretty happy with it. I use my bed, and the only thing that messed it up was the metal feet of our new washing machine when I dragged it out. Dirt, rocks, lumber, and various loads havent really hurt it.
I would put more stock in the rustoleum name, so it should be just fine. Just make sure that you get an extra pint to cover any deep gouges should they appear.

Message: I bought it but it's gotta be 50 degrees to put it on. I guess it's a spring job. Not bad gallon of base a, a quart base b to mix. a roller, paint brush etc. Says you can use it on walkways, trailers, ramps etc.. $19.99 what a deal.
