last night at a light a guy in a Chrysler 300 L or LS pulled up to me and reved his motor. Me still being a rookie when it comes to racing and really driving wasnt quite sure. Turns out he wanted a race and I was ready with my foot on the gas. The light turns green and he floors it, which wasnt too spectacular, but he got the hole shot on me. I had the O/D off button pushed and watched as my rpm needle climbed well into redline(about 5,600 rpm) and it wasnt dropping down like it usually does when gears changed. Im pretty sure I went through all of them, I mean my foot was on the floor the whole time. He stayed ahead of me pretty much all the time and Im not sure if he slowed down or what but I went past him and at the next light he looked over and just shook his head. Of course I had to save some of my pride so I tried him again and layed some rubber but he wouldnt bite. Once again I think my 93 4x4 Dakota w/318 and 3.55's got beat once again, didnt it? What the hell do those Chrysler 300's got in them?

Andrew a 99 300m has 253 HP,0-60= 7.7 SEC. 1/4 mile in 15.9/89.2. So I would not be to depressed by losing,in fact you should be happy it was close.

Andrew, it was a 300M and those are nice cars. Way powerful, at least it was a Mopar.

The Crysler that beat me looked similar to the older, uglyer style Mercury Cougar, I think it was the 80's or early 90's style. Was that a 300?

Hmm i drive a 02 300m not much in it pretty much bone stock, they say it runs ova 7 seconds, but im pretty sure on stick its much faster n i guess you gotta know how to treat ur bitch. Cause on steptronic i leave the 4.6 Gt mustangs chasin me, and from a rolling start i opened up 4 cars to a 94 5.0 gt cold air chip flowmaster 40s n X offroad pipes, you'll be amazed what 300m's could do. N they say 745 bmws push 6.5 seconds I took on one from lite to lite about half a car. so i wonder what i run -=]

just wait till your smoked by a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8. they said 0-60 in under 5 sec WET or DRY as its AWD. RICERS BEWARE LOL. makes me wonder if they will ever do a SRT for the DAkota.
