Subject: wheel spacers IP: Logged
Message: Anyone know where I can find some 6 lug wheel spacers? I am putting gen III 15x8 factory rims on a 94 2 wheel drive. With them installed, the spindle cap pushes the center wheel cap out. I have already tried different caps but nothing works. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Message: not to put a damper in your plans, but from what i've heard and experienced from wheel spacers, I wouldn't suggest using them. First of all, moving the force of weight (gravity) further out from the truck is also focusing a lot more of that weight on your axle bearings... in the wrong locations. Theres bearings where enginered to have lateral (up and down) stress placed on them, and not angular or pivotal stress that would be caused by a wheel spacer. You'll notice eventual where of these bearings until one day a large cloud of smoke will seem to be following you. This will cost ALOT more than wheel spacers. Secondly, depending on where you live or even IF vehicle inspection is a concern in your area, many states have tight restrictions on the amount of space a wheel may pass beyond the fender (I personally know New Jersey is one of the worst). I hope this helped in some twisted, rhetorical way.

Message: I only need 1/4 inch, a disc brake spacer would work, but no one has them in a 6x4 1/2 bolt pattern.
