Subject: Tranny service IP: Logged
Message: 37K miles on the 2000 auto hooked up to a 4.7.
Just wondering what service it should have done. Should I just change the fluid?
Does it need a new gasket? What is a flush?
Is the $80 and up price shops quote me fair?
Should I leave the old fluid and just add Zmax tranny additive?
Thanks

Message: Take it to a dodge dealer and pay the 140-150$. that way, you will get the right fluid, and support if it acts up.

Message: I second that. I was going to get mine serviced at a local shop that flushes the system. But, they didn't have the correct connector for my tranny, the truck has the heavy duty service group. So anyway I decided to go to the dealer and have it done right and with the proper ATF-4 fluid. The other shops just said Huh? I thought ATF-3 went in their.
Z-Tube, R/T Rims, SSB Rear Disc Conversion, Alpine Head-Unit, Infinity Kappa Speakers, SilverStar Headlights, HO Cams & Intake installed.
Got H.O. ?
