Subject: Speedometer Stuck on 120 IP: Logged
Message: So my drivers side headlight went out today, and to change it, i have to remove the battery, the bumper, my filter, and the intake 'tube' for my supercharger. Dont get me started on how much fun all of that is just to change a single bulb...
But anyways, i had the battery out for at least 15 mins or more, and so the computer reset. No biggy right? Well, after i got everything back to gether, i started the truck and let it idle and such. Then i shut it off and went inside. About 30 mins later, i had to go move the truck so someone else could get out of the driveway, and when i got in and started the truck, the speedo was stuck on 120. It actually looks like its resting on the pin. When i turn the truck off it doesnt go back to zero, it just stays at 120+. I figured it had something to do with the computer, so i reset it by unplugging the neg. battery cable, and put the key to the start posistion for 30 seconds (probably did like 60). The problem is still there. No matter what i do it just seems to be stuck. I hope i dont have to pull the dash apart and pull the needle of and reposistion it. I dont know why i would have to do this, but im wondering if that would fix it. I do have different gauges, and this is the first time the battery has been removed sence i put them on. I figured i'd post here and go get some dinner. Im out of ideas, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million.

Message: Try this
1. Ignition switch off
2. Press and hold the trip reset knob
3. Turn the ignition switch to on but do not start.
4. Hold the reset knob for approx 10 seconds
the dash panel will go through a self check
Be ready to write down any codes that show up on the read out

This might explain it better.
How can I recalibrate my instrument cluster?
