Message: It's likely that your Dak's speed sensor may be going bad.

Message: Is it an automatic transmission?
Try this, before you start replacing things. Just re-set your computer and let it re-learn everything. Disconnect your negative battery terminal and turn the key as if you are cranking it over but hold it for about 20 seconds. Then re-connect your negative terminal. This will re-set the computer and will take about 200 miles for it to re-learn all the sensor setting. The bad thing, though, it will erase any error codes that the dealer may need to diagnose the problem...but if the problem re-occurs, then the error codes will be back. Then try whatever else you want to do, including, seeing the dealer.

Message: Midnightdak, The speed sensor a) sends speed readings to the speedometer b) is used by the rear abs c) sends a signel to the ecm as you decelerate to 'bump up' the idle.
CW would be the man to ask.
