Subject: How can I clean the IACV passage
IP: Logged

Message:
I am getting a P1294 (Target Idle Not Reached- Actual Idle speed does not equal target idle speed) error code, and after cleaning just the IACV and resetting the code, I got it back the next day. So now I am wondering if I need to do more for my cleanup process. Beside the carb cleaner is it okay to inject like a fish acquarium brush inside where IACV attaches to the TB?

Thanks,
M.

To start with if it's a 3.9, 5.2 or 5,9 Magnum go to NAPA and get you a new TB Gasket #G31527 Then get ready to remove the TB That's the best way to clean things.

Thanks Dan, This is exactly what I was looking for. I have got a small problem though, I did push and pull on the plunger itself when I had it out. This was of course before I read your posting. Am I in trouble?

M.
