Subject: Trans not shifting correctly

I have a 2000 r/t , The trans was rebuilt about a month ago because it was not shifting the 1-2 shift and now when on hard accel it want to try to downshift at 3500-4000 in 2nd back to first it doesnt but it tries too ! engine revs and then goes back to 2nd them 3rd like it should ? Any ideas , Will the detent cable being adjusted wron cause this ?

Throttle valve cable may need adjusting. Make sure that throttle valve lever on trans is fully forward, then pull cable end off stud on throttle body. With throttle in idle position, the throttle valve cable end and the throttle cable (to accelerator) should be alligned. Hope this helps.
