 Subject: 99 Dakota-Who Hit Me In The Rear?

Hi Guys,
New to the board here. I got a 99 5.2 with 4sp overdrive and on occasion when coming to a stop or stopping it feels like somebody hit me lightly in the rear. I know that sounds crazy but true. Could this be a convertor, trans, computer problem?.....Has anyone else expiereced this, if so, how do you fix it?.......Thx

I noticed something similar with my 2002 QC 4.7L auto. I was told (here on this board - thanks again) that it was the fuel in the gas tank sloshing around. Some people noticed that it is more pronounced depending upon the amount of gas in the tank (I think it's around 3/4 full).

I agree with cory. I have a 99 4wd and
experience the same thing when the gas tank
is full or near full.

I would assume the tanks are baffled just to prevent this exact thing.

Thanks everybody for the "serious and helpfull feedback". The "Bump at Stoplight" link described the problem exactly. As you guys said and as I recall it happened around 3/4 tank of fuel.
