 Subject: 4WD WON'T DISENGAGE

bought an '89 Dakota v6 recently - put it in 4 high and it won't disengage back to 2WD. Goes in and out of 4 low just fine.... Any suggestions????

I had a similar problem once. I put her in reverse and shifted out while rolling slowly backwards. Dunno if this will help.
