Subject: Replacing Speakers IP: Logged
Message: After I find out the response to my other post, I might be replacing the door panel speakers. One problem I dont have automatic windows, and I cant figure out for the life of me how to take the crank off, or get the door panel around it. I have a 2001 I wish the speakers would have had a cut out and not have to take the entire door off. any help??
Thanks

Message: A small flat head screwdriver works just as well. Just find the clip like Gentleman said, and push one end of it with the screwdriver...mine popped right off with no hesitation when I did that.

Message: Just put the handle back on, find the holes, and pop it back in place by pushing on the back of it with the screw driver...was much easier than taking it off!!

Message: I saw a post...I think it was on the audio board just a few weeks ago where somebody said that they used a sock...put the sock in between the door handle and the panel, then pull back and forth on it a few times...the clip will supposedly pop right off, as the sock material catches on the ends of it and pushes it off. You might give that a try first.

Message: Hmmm, I have no need to pull my window cranks off, but thats sounds interesting enough that I just might have to try that to see if it works LOL.
