 Subject: ignition key ring

I have a 99 cc sport and was wondering if the clear ring around the ignition key was suppose to light up when you remove the key. Because on my uncle's ram it does and on mine it doesn't. Only got the sport package. thanks

My '99 slt doesn't light either. I read that you had to have the power door locks/remote entry for this to light up.

Know this not a Dakota but on my 99 Jeep GC the ring only lights when the drivers door is opened and the interior lights come on, open any other door and it does not light up nor when the key is removed..
