Message: my truck makes a strange groaning noise when it is moved to the left. at first thought, i thought it was something to do with the power steering, seeing my f250 used to make that same noise when i drove with no p/s fluid. ive checked air pressure in my tires. it doesnt do it while stopped, but get worse the faster i go. it started about a month ago, and is slowly progressing and getting worse/super annoying. any ideas? thanks for the responses in advance!

Message: I took my 2000 Dakota in for service this past week for the same problem sound in the rear diff that you're experiencing. The fix was exactly as mentioned above. They replaced diff. fluid and added "friction modifier" and the noise is completely gone.
