Message: i have noticed, along with other things, that the 01 dakota's have two holes in the front valance. I dont think it's for towing, because their's no tow hooks (at least on the truck i saw). what is this for? It looks kina dumb.

Message: I haven't figured out what they are for. I thought they may be for tow hooks but there is not place to mount a hook behind there. I've been kinda curious myself.

Message: I think they are for tow hooks on 4wd models. I think that they are optional, not standard. I am not for sure though.
