Subject: Sad Day...but I gotta do it... IP: Logged
Message: Well, the time has come...I must sell the beast. I am moving to Europe, and I can not take her with me. Taxes would kill me.
As you can see, there has been a lot of time, sweat, and money out into my truck. I have put over $10,000 in various engine, body, and stereo modifications.
It is a 2002 CC R/T with less than 15,000 miles on it. The heads and Roller Rockers have less than 8,000 miles on them. I am asking $27,000 for the truck. I am willing to deliver it 1/2 the distance in the US. The price is negotiable. For that price, and the amount of mods on the truck...it is a steal.

Message: Well, i did say that the price is negotiable. $27,000 is not set in stone...that's what negotiable means. Yes, I know that the price is a bit high, hell I will go down to $25,000 just cause people are being dicks.

Message: Wow, that sux dude!..... I dont think that price is bad, but im with everyone else about its going to be hard to sell. I mean, whos really going to spend 25k on a Used 2002 Dakota CC R/T regardless of the mods that have been done to it??... If i had the money i sure would, but in reality wise, i dont think theres many people that will. Dont take this as knockin` on u about the price, b/c as i said, i think the price is Fair.
just my $0.02 cents!
BTW, how long are u going to be in Europe for?? and if u dont mind me asking, why are u moving??

Message: Chris- hehe
REKER- Thanks for the input. I know it will be a hard sell. I hope people will look at it the way you did. If you buy a new R/T for $26,000 and wanted to mod it, then you would endup paying more money, like I did. Why not buy a truck with the mods already on it for less than what you would pay for a new one, then adding mods to it. I know this truck is not everyones cup of tea, but there are people out there that would buy a SLIGHTLY used truck with $10,000 in mods for cheaper than a new truck. Hopefully that person will come soon...hehe.
I am moving because I want to try to open a restaurant/ bar in Europe. I scoped out a good location in August when I was in Europe for a month. Also, after my divorce...it is time to start fresh... ;)

Message: Good luck in Europe dude.
I started a small restaurant chain in one of the former Eastern Bloc countries and it's going well. I currently have a really nice 200 year old home in the Czech Republic. What sucks is that I have to have a Satellite internet connection and that makes my ping rate too high to play Unreal Tournament effectively. LOL
You should take your Dak, mines a real head turner over here in the land of broken down Trabants!!
Take it easy and best of luck.

I thought about how mothers feed their babies with tiny little spoons and forks, so I wondered what do Chinese mothers use? Toothpicks?

Message: j- yeah, I sold it seperately. I ended up selling it for what i paid for it, so it evened out.
EuroDak- I want to take it with me, but that would involve way more money than I can spring for. Oh well. I am gonna be in Latvia. If you are still in the eastern block, I take it you are in Prague or somewhere like that, Maybe you can help me with some ideas and what not.
Everyone- Thanks for the good long year I have been a member here. I will stop in from time to time and say hello. It does suck that I have to sell it, but it sucks less when I think about living in Europe...hehe.

Message: If you aren't able to sell it at a price you want, you could probably leave it in storage for a while. Then, if your business turns out successful and you run into some extra cash, you can always have it shipped then. And while your getting your business started, you could have someone trying to sell it over here. Just a thought though. Good luck with whatever you decide and keep us informed.

Best advice I have.... Learn that bribery is normal in the former Eastern Bloc countries. It's simple, cheap, gets things done and EXPECTED by police and government officials.
Good luck Bro!
