Subject: Windshild wiper problem IP: Logged
Message: Hello Gurus,
I have a very simple electical question. My wife got in my dak on monday and turned on the wipers. They worked for 2 swipes and then stoped working. Well I thought that she did not clear the windsheild of snow, even tho she said she did, and blew a fuse with the extra load. So I changed the wiper fuse wich was blown. As soon as I turn the key to the on position the fuse blew again. The wipers were not on. The fuse blew. Any idea what could be the problem. Grounded somewhere or what?
Thanks,
Jay

Message: I got lucky. It was the relay under the hood. I swaped the starter relay with the wiper relay. Boom it worked. Whew. The funny thing is that the wiper relay worked in the starter relay. So I don't know what is going on there. I will know what I will change if the truck won't start tho.
Thanks,
Jay
