What years were the 4 banger dakota's made? Anyone know any information about the transmission? I'm planning to convert my dodge neon to RWD and I have found that the 4 cylinder dakota transmission will bolt to my neon engine.

Last I checked, they're still in production. They have been for quite a while, so I don't know when the first year was (maybe the first year for the Dakota?). And you're a brave man to take on a RWD conversion project.
