Message: If by the truck, you mean my type of truck (4.7L 5spd), yes there is. Hurst makes a short throw shifter for the NV3500 tranny, but it's supposed to only go up to 2000 models. The 2001+s need a slight modification to the boot plate. No biggy, a number of people have done it on here. I would like to do mine next year.
I guess I go through my gears pretty good with the stock shifter. The truck really prefers you firmly put it into place, not slam it around. I don't have a short shifter..yet, but I havn't heard any problems with the Hurst.
