Do you know if anybody is making aftermarket shifters for the truck, and can you rip through the gears? Power shifting?

If by the truck, you mean my type of truck (4.7L 5spd), yes there is. Hurst makes a short throw shifter for the NV3500 tranny, but it's supposed to only go up to 2000 models. The 2001+s need a slight modification to the boot plate. No biggy, a number of people have done it on here. I would like to do mine next year.

I guess I go through my gears pretty good with the stock shifter. The truck really prefers you firmly put it into place, not slam it around. I don't have a short shifter..yet, but I havn't heard any problems with the Hurst.
