 Subject: engine check light

i just installed my stereo into my 98 dakota. now that i have it all in my check engine light has gone on and hasnt turned off since. does anyone have an idea of what it might be? also is there any way to figure out what it might be?

The PCM controls the charging, that would be my guess !
Take it to AutoZone they can use a scanner to pull the codes if any are tripped then you can look them up at, http://www.obdii.com/
