Is there anything wrong with the mid 90's series dakotas. Is the 3.9 about equal to the 4.0 i got in my my ford ranger? I can get a 95 3.9 club cab with a cap and loaded for $5500 its only got 66k. I like my ranger but if the dakota is better or equal i wanna get it cause i have 137k on mine

Don't know a lot about the V-6, but I have enjoyes my 4.7L. I test drove some V-6's back when I was looking for a new truck, but drove a V-8 and said WO! and decided to buy one. You should drive the V-6 and compare it to your present truck. As far as the overall truck, I wouldn't have any other small truck except the Dakota.

Hey Jeff. I have a 94 club with 5.2 liter and love it. The 3.9 has 175 hp where as the 5.2 has 220 for that year. I have owned a 3.9, 1992, and made trips up into canada with it towing a good sized 16ft boat and loaded with gear with no probs what so ever. Hope this helps, Kevin M.
