OK I have a 97 with the Factory Security sistem. And my truck was broken in to. and the the alarm went off and they got nothing. Well I want to get a better alarm. I Belave that the alarm only goes off when a door is opened, and if the were to brake the wendow then it would not go off?? And any one have and sugjestions for an alarm with esay in stal.

Get a Viper alarm. they have a proximity sensor that will set off the alarm when the truck is just hit. i have one in mine, has gotten set off 5 times cause people try to break in, and havnt gotten anything form the truck. SO i suggest gettin a viper alarm system, may cost ya a pretty penny but its worth it.
