I have a 98 3.9 kota and I have intake and all that good stuff, and a v8 tb, well my gas milage has been killing me big time, I am thinking about (just for a lil while) taking off myintake and putting my old air box system back on, yeah a loss in HP but do yall think It will help out my gas milage?

Yeah I think it is the leadfootitus! thats what people have been telling me, My overhead reading is 13.3mpg, it use to be 15.5, dont know what happen, as far as the spark plugs, I just slaped another set of 3923's in her last month, maybe my k&n is dirty?

Maybe time to clean it. I usually do mine about every 10K, only have about 6K on it since new and it's filthy. Must be all the road construction around here.
When did you last do a complete tune-up? May be time for one.

Well my last tune up hasnt been to long ago, about 4 or 5 months ago, I added 8.5mm wires, and some new plugs, I keep my oil up to date as well, maybe I need to clean my cap & rotor,(borgwarner) or maybe my solinoid on the holley, hummmm, well I think that is what I willdo, sat morning before the dfw meet, clean the filter, cap and rotor, inspect the autolites, clean the TB. I might even detail the engin compartment. Hay LR are you interested in going to the meet sat?

its definitely your foot dood (i have seen you drive).... The cold air induction is something that would help gas milage. You could turn off that iat adjuster.... that might help.

Try going back to stock heat range plugs, and if you have a 180 t-stat, go back to the 195. Both will help your gas mileage. You're better off just changing the cap/rotor rather than cleaning them. It's only $15 and your time.

Well, I am running a 180, I guess it wouldent hurt to swap it out, as far as the plugs, I am leaving those in there.....Might just change out that cap & rotor, just a little on the broke side for a couple of weeks.

Chris, well im keeping mine, I have it instaled still, just off for the winter time, I used it last night at royal lane for a lil while, didnt do much because it was cold out. I will see if I can find you on, if not we can relocate your IAT into your intake or your fender. That will help as well.
