Subject: Brake rotors IP: Logged
Message: I've had my 2000 Dak SLT for about a year and a half now. I've had to turn the rotors twice already, and they need it again (I may have to purchase new rotors this time). I don't do any off-road driving, no hard driving/braking, just the usual back & forth to work and occassional out of town weekend trip. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a design flaw or just crappy original equipment?

Message: Crappy original equipment. I bet you have "Rust Pockets" all over the rotors. Buy Raybestos rotors and pads. They won't make you go broke and you will notice a difference in braking right away. I finally replaced mine at 36,000 miles after turning the rotors twice due to brake pulsations. Look around on this web site, there are millions of postings on this subject.
