Subject: e-brake IP: Logged
Message: last winter i had a problem with my e-brake freazing up. wondering if anyone else has encountered the same problem? i just dont use the e-brake in the winter anymore.

Message: I have only seen this problom before on a ford Escort. The guy had to get out and pull on the cable manualy to get it unstuck.

Message: Last year mine would stick with the left rear tire. It would let it go backwards but not forwards or something like that. I took it to the shop and my dad told them to have it removed so I don't have one right now. They're expensive to have replace.

Message: Sometimes they freeze because of lack of use but this is usually with auto's. Maybe run some quality penetrating oil in the cable in its exposed area and see if this helps.
