I hear you on this one...I don't like the way my 2002 shifts, either. I used to be able to control the way my vehicles shifted just by playing with the gas pedal...can't do that on the Dak, unless it's almost floored. I didn't think that it'd be a big deal, but I hate it. I've heard that you can delay the shifts by pulling the TV cable back towards the firewall. I've also heard that if you do it, do it in small increments, as a little adjustment can cause a big change. I haven't tried it yet.

I got a Mike Leach "flash". It raised my limiter on my 4.7. from 98mph to 256mph. $400+shipping.

Do you mean the Rev limiter or the shift points? If you mean the shift points, the best way to do it is through a custom flash. Other than that, you -might- be able to fiddle with the kickdown cable (provided they still use those)...

Well, I don't know if Dodge still has them on their new electronic trannies, or what year you have. But there normally is a cable linkage connected next to the throttle cable that controls how the transmission reads the throttle position. Sometimes you can adjust it a bit, but not much. The best bet is a custom PCM flash, since the shift points are determined by the computer, flashing the computer to new software will change them. I think someone posted a link above...

My flash did NOT change the shift points on my truck. It raised my limiter on my 4.7. from 98mph to 256mph and gave me a little more low-end power. I have a automatic also and wish I could have found a 5-speed.

I bought my 2000 used, any 5-speed that came up 4-sale on the internet was jumped on like Oprah on a baked ham.
