Today I went to my father-in-law's salvage yard, and found out that he was GIVEN an 1970 Barracuda.
Some fella bought the car for the engine and transmission, and GAVE the body to him. I checked the sheet metal and it is in excellent shape...it was an old drag car though, and some genius decided to put a tilt front end on it, but it is just waiting for restoration.
So it looks as if I've found another project car...I know my wife will just love this;)
Anybody got a Hemi laying around????

I know of a dude somewhere in Rockland County, NY, who inherited a 1971 Challenger from a relative. The car was originally powered by a slant-six, and the body was almost flawless.
He has spent almost 30K on it so far, including a 426 crate motor, a richmond 4+1 tranny, and a Dana 60.
Good luck, and post some pics when it's done.
