That pricing is unbelievable! You can't go wrong, the Eaglite Xenons are awesome bulbs too. I have installed them in both my Daks and several other vehicles with great results, no burn-outs or cheap bulbs here and Jeff's customer service and prompt shipping are the best.

I have bought so many bulbs from Jeff, my everyday pricing has nearly dropped to the sale pricing:)

Which models do you guys run in your Dakotas? I see they have the Eaglite 65/55watt and then the 100/80watt... Are the 65/55w the replacements because I'm thinking the 100/80w would be a little too bright or maybe even not legal? And then what about these Max versions of the 65/55w and 100/80w??? Anyone know??

Aaron

I am running the Eaglite's 100/80 9007's for over 3 months now, no problems with local law enforcement or oncoming cars. As long as you make sure your headlights are adjusted properly. Haven't used the Max versions, can't help you there, but I can recommend the one's I am using.

I suggest you change out the fog lamp bulbs if you have them to match or it looks odd and the headlights completely wash out the stock fog lamp bulbs so you can't even tell they are on.

Crossen,

I would say that it would be the 894's seeing how the Durango has that number listed for the '01 model... It may just be an oversite that they don't have the Dakota listed for the '01 model year... Try support@midnightmoose.com to find out for sure...

Believe it or not, they both work, there is 3 or 4 model#'s for the fog lamps that all work. But if you want to make sure, check with them.

I actually sent them an email awhile back letting them know that they may notice an increase in Dakota/Durango bulb sales after I first posted about it, I expect they did notice a spike in sales from then until now:)

Good-job in passing some savings along to site visitors by starting this post.

What about the wiring? Can the stock wiring handle the extra amperage of higher watt bulbs? My dads explorer melted the wires after installation of higher watt bulbs. And also what about fogging up the outer lenses? The higher heat sometimes causes a haze over the lenses. Anybody have any of these problems with the dakota when using higher wattage bulbs?

Of course the Ford wiring melted, lol. No problems with melted wiring or damaged lenses in the three months I have been using them.

You have only a couple more hours to get the Halloween pricing:) I am sure they would honor the pricing after anyway if you mentioned it.

Thanks for the tip, I ordered a set for the Dakota and one for my wife's van. I got the 100 watt bulbs also cause her 2000 Caravan has really poor factory lights. The lenses look cool but are pretty small! So 2 sets of 9007, and a set of fogs for the Dakota all shipped for $38! Thanks again Crash.

Hey Hers, I just ordered two sets myself. It's a pretty good deal to pass up. Good work Crash!

I wonder if they noticed a large increase in 9007s ;)

Since you're buying lights, I guess no luck selling the R/T? The R/T up here at KARI is still on the lot. And I still havn't taken it for a spin either. Hopefully the spring will entice some UofM student to get a new truck.

lilbigrig- Xplikt is more of a Flathead Community College fan, LOL! Do you follow the Griz? They are certainly something to behold around these parts. I never can get Saturdays off to attend the games but I do deliver mail all around the stadium. You can keep up with the scores and first downs from about 3 miles away! Its pretty awesome stuff. Good thing our college team is tops because we are a long way from any pro clubs, and our local high school teams are just plain pathetic for like the last 1 years!

Excuse me while I go put my old and better light bulbs back in. Eaglites Suck! Has anyone tried the Sylvania SuperWhites sold at autozone for $20 each?

I've had mine in both cars for 3 days now. I think they are better then stock but they are very blue! I did get the 80/100 watt ones and really don't need the brights anymore. The Dakota seems to be aimed up a little high and I have been flashed once so I probably need to pull them down a bit. The Caravan is much better and my wife who knows nothing about cars says she thinks she can see much better now, and actually prefers the blueish color. It's kind of like using a florescent light instead of an normal bulb. Still $5 a bulb is tough to beat, on my Jeep I paid $15 a bulb for Hella superwhite 80/100 which personally I liked better (but not 3 times as much better!)
