I've had Cooper Discoverers for two years and had
several sidewall blowouts. My spare is a Goodyear
Wrangler and looks much beefier,I run P235's and
am thinking of going to Truck tires instead of
Passenger. Anyone help with these issues?
Which wrangler is best for 80% city, 20%all terrain?
G/S-A?

barry, they both suck. spend a little more and go with michelin. If you want a beffy tire the LTX/AT is a nice looking tire, and it wears verry well. It is a passenger rated truck tire, so it will give you a better ride. If you carry heavy loads go with a light truck tire try the Xradial LT.

The LTX/AT are a LT tire if they come in the LT size so some are P rated, some are LT.

Barry, your Q was on the Goodyear Wranglers. GS-A would be fine or my Goodyear choice would be the AT/S, but it is a little more aggessive.

If you have the 4x4, go with a 30x9.50 tire, they are a little taller and wider than the 235s and will have the beefier appearance.

Now, brand selection. For an all around All Terrain, I would choose the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO, they are pretty much the industry leader in all terrain tires.

Yep ... I'd recommend BFG too. Not only do they look better than the Goodyears, but they perform a wholeeeeeeee lot better.
