Message: Don't know what your Dak will run but I think traction will be a problem. Thats my big problem. My truck is not an r/t but its a generation 1 truck that I stuffed a healthy 360 with a 727 tourqueflight and a 8 3/4 rearend w/355 suregrip.Spins bad out of the hole. The best thing I have found to do is to lower the rear tire pressure as low as you feel comfortable with. I lower mine to 19-20 lbs. It still spins some and runs a 14.26@95.76mph 1/4 mile. Hope some of the info helps and good luck. Let me know how you do. Dak Man.

Message: You can expect mid to low 15's beleive it or not your R/T is a heavy pig too. The Gen1 and gen2 are alot lighter, and yes traction is a problem.

Message: Does anyone know what the Gen1 truck weighs? I know it's heavy also because when I have it on the trailer I can feel it's pretty heavy. I usually trailer a 70 dart and the truck feels quite a bit heavier but the dart is a race car and not very heavy. Dak Man

Message: My gen 2 was a v6 reg cab manual and it was 3300lbs, My R/T is 4350lbs, I guess figuring in the V8, Auto trans, clubcab and other crap, the gen2 is only a little lighter. The funny thing is my old 69 Chevy with a 350 and auto 4x2 was 3800lbs and it was made with heavy gauge steel. Just a thought....
I hope this helps
