Subject: Fog Lights factory switch IP: Logged
Message: Hey bought a set of Hella 550 for my 00 Club Cab I had one of the Techs at work install them. I didnt wnat another hole in the dash so he piggy backed them on the OE Fog light circuit.
They now turn on and of with the factory switch and OE fog lights
Just want to let those who want to do this know it can be done

Message: I would like to know how this was done. Got the wire colors I should tap into with any other tips? Wanted to wire my wifes driving lamps like this so she doesn't have to play with more switches than she needs to:) Thanks!

Message: hey, I just ordered the Hella 550 driving light kit and want to use the fog switch instead of the rocker switch (less holes in the dash the better).I have a '02 regular cab with a westin safari bar I will mount the lights to. Some basic instructions would be helpful in this install. Any wire colors?

Message: Well I did this for only two weeeks I kept blowing the switch so I had to have the rocker switch intstalled. If you do install your lights and use the oe switch remember that the factory lights work on ground the lights always are hot the switch just completes the ground.
