 Subject: big time trans problem, any suggestions?

I jumped in my truck (01 quad cab, 4.7, at, 4x4)this morning to go to work and my trans is only using 2nd and thrid gear!!! It starts out in second and then shifts to third. No od or 1st gear even if I try to manually shift it with the lever. It just stays in 3rd unless it move the shifter to 2nd or 1st, either way it's in 2nd. It just expired on the warrenty so that's not an option.
The weird part is that I had not driven it since I changed the engine oil yesterday. Could I have bumped something? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Year, engine. Need more info. Sounds like it needs a govenor transducer though.

ill have to agree with CW on this one. sounds alot like a governor pressure sensor/transducer, or ive seen the trans go into LIMP-IN and stay stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear and a code for the Input speed sensor. dont hold me to it, just my .02.
