Subject: Fog Lights Locking Doors?
IP: Logged

Message:
Im still getting familiar with my Dakota, but I'm just wondering if this is normal, abnormal, or whatever the hell it is. Its still under the dealer warranty so Im just making sure. Anyways whenever I have my fog lights on, and I press on the brakes it triggers auto locks on the doors. It doesn't only do this once, it does it every single time I press my brakes. Its only when I have my fog lights on. I'm just wondering if there is a short or something or if its supposed to do that. Any clarification would be appreciated.

I have an 02 with auto lock and they engage when I reach a speed of about 13mph.I also have factory fog lights . I don't have the problem you are having when I use them . Perhaps you should take it back to the dealer . My .02 cents

Since it is still under warranty I would make an appt. and have it looked at. Certainly doesn't sound normal, and if it is, I'd ask the dealer how to disable it because it sounds annoying as he**. Good luck.
