Message: Hey guys, looking for some serious help here! My mom's '88 caravan (still a dodge) died on her today!!! Got it towed home and i started playing with it. Checked to see if the fuel pump primed and it DID!!! So, i sprayed ether into the Throttle body and it ran!! What the hell can the problem be???? Can it still be the pump even though it primed when ignition on????
Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Message: if the pump primed and it starts when you hit it with ether then the first thing I would check would be the fuel filter.
Somewhere between the fuel pumb and the throttle body you either have a cloged line or possibly a pinched line.

Message: I agree, if you have good fuel pressure, replace the Map sensor. It's cheaper to do than a fuel pump and if it don't help, you are only out about $100. But a fuel pump install will cost much more and if it don't help, you still will have to spend the $100 on a Map sensor.
