Would be fairly complicated as the controllers on the 5.7 are the new ones. They are called the Next Generation Controller have 4 plugs going to them, more diagnostics, they use different internal drivers as well. Most of the wiring from the whole vehicle will have to be swapped from what I can tell. Front end lighting, engine and trans harness, probably dash as well. Kinda like trying to swap a OBDII conroller and engine into a early model truck.

The first Dakota with a 5.7 Hemi will probably be built by the first person that can get they're hands on a wrecked 5.7 Hemi Durango.

Hell they are planning on putting them in the 300M by 2005 model. They will have them in the dak I would think. I was very skeptical at first but when I saw the '05 300M figured they would be in everything.

From what I've heard they will be in the Durangos by Mar or Apr '03 as they will replace the 5.9 and they cease production in December. 1/2 ton Rams with the Hemi should be out in Jan '03.
