Subject: Aftermarket alum. rims?

I have been looking for new aluminum rims for my 93' 2wd. I want a 17x8 mainly to 15x8, nothing bigger, with a sportier look. I need to get something soon since I bent one rim and my tires are going blad. I like the look of Centerline convo pro's and Mickey classic II but aren't available. I don't want to get R/T rims or steel stock car looking rims. I have seen some nice ones like Centerline Hell Cats, Weld's The Super-Single II and Amercian Racing Baja's. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I have seen people running 255's on the front and was woundering how much backspacing is needed and if trimming was required. I would like to run about that size but it does look like it'll fit. I would like to a wider tire and keep the Dia. around 26-27inches. I don't want a rubberband tire with a side wall under 4".

Any suggestions on street tires or rims/combos would be appreciated.

I'm going to bump this up because I'm in the same spot. My '95 had the stock 15x6 rims and 215/75-15 tires now. That's just not going to cut it after the 408 goes in.

I've been looking at the AR767 Nascar style rims myself. 15x8 with 5" backspacing. I've been told I can run 275/60-15 (28" tall) but I think I'm going to go with 255/60-15 (27" tall) and pick up some more gearing.

Hey, guys...
I've got a set of Prime 15/8.5's for sale on the classified page...be happy to E-mail pix. The wheels are polished, straight and have no damage.
The wheels'll fit up to a 275mm wide tire-they have 255's mounted on 'em now.
