i was thinkin about installing a transmission temp guage, i was wondering if was worth doin to my truck, its a 97, 318,auto, with dual flowmaster and k&n gen2 fipk. when i usually race, i shift manually,so, im curious to what the temp of my transmission is. so if anyone can tell me if it would be worth doin, please reply thanks

I have the same truck. I just got a TCI cooler put on with a temp gauge mounted inside. I just had my tranny beefed up and a transgo put in so the cooler and gauge is key. Summit has a nice temp gauge-NRD-M9007 which requires the sending unit which is NRD-S8013. Its a nice gauge and is digital. When you order it ask for a bracket for mounting. They have one pretty cheap. The gauge is only 50 bucks.

If you do alot of towing, High torgue low speed rock crawling or road raceing then it might not be a bad idea. If you do not I owld not worry about. Fill it full of synthetic fluid and call it good!!!
