Message: I have the same truck. I just got a TCI cooler put on with a temp gauge mounted inside. I just had my tranny beefed up and a transgo put in so the cooler and gauge is key. Summit has a nice temp gauge-NRD-M9007 which requires the sending unit which is NRD-S8013. Its a nice gauge and is digital. When you order it ask for a bracket for mounting. They have one pretty cheap. The gauge is only 50 bucks.

Message: If you do alot of towing, High torgue low speed rock crawling or road raceing then it might not be a bad idea. If you do not I owld not worry about. Fill it full of synthetic fluid and call it good!!!
