 Subject: 4x4 light not coming on

In my '91 4x4 5.2L When i engage the 4 wheel drive,the light on the shifter doesnt come on, but it does lock the hubs. Whats up?

There is a $35 sensor in the t-case. Go to the dealer and ask them for a new one. It just screws in and has an electrical connector, easy to change.

Did you check the light bulb, the one on my 92 was all corroded at the connector and would come on at various times

I had a '92 Jeep that did the same thing. It
was the t-case sensor mentioned above. The
life span of the factory replacement sensors
seemed to be about 6 months. I finally gave
up after replacing it twice.
