Does anybody have problems with their truck shocking them when they go to open the door? Is there any fix for this problem?

That's static electricity when the air's really dry out. There's some spray you can get for your seats and carpets that'll help some. Easiest place to find that stuff is a computer store.

Just got shocked over the weekend, but not before or after.
This was the first nice days we've had for a while. Must be the dryer air.

I get shocked daily getting in and out of my 98 dak, but I admit is funny as Sh!t to watch my friends get shocked getting in and out of my truck! :)

I own a 2004 dodge dakota and I get shocked everytime I get out. I have tried static guard, fabric sheets and I have a grounding strap on it. I brought this vehicle brand new and the dealership can't seem to fix the problem.

carpet and your shoes?
I know i'm ready for a new pair of tennis shoes when i start to get shocked walking on carpet and touch metal (cars, home, work, etc).

Not the carpet or the shoes. I have more shoes than you can count and it doesn't matter what pair I have on I still get shocked. This a brand new truck, and this shouldn't happen. :)

do you live in a dry climate? i only get that shock during the winter months when the humidity is low. it's not the trucks fault though.

No I live in Michigan and I get shocked Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Before I pump gas I have to make sure I get shocked, so that way nothing will blow up. lol
