I can see it all now... boy gets mad at his dad who's mom died when he was young... boy takes off for cali to make something of his self. Driving across desert and some ricers blow past him on the highway, he's like WOW I want to do that, drive really fast... but he can't because he is in an R/T (oops) so he gets to cali, and needs a job and star working for a parts store, and then it turns into fast and the furious 1, for lack of a good wrighting staff... same story (I mean what really COULD change)

Message: I remember seeing that kit for a Dakota a few years back! I can't think of who offered it at the time, but they also offered a engine upgrade that bump it up too no less than 400hp too. I forgot all about it until now! I've been a Dakota fan, mainly the R/T from the day I first saw one on Road and Track back in 98 doing burnouts! Then being able to sit in a 1999-2000 First year Solar Yellow RC R/T at the Houston Auto Show, I then knew I had to have one. So I was able to get a new 2001 RC.

Message: I dont know about yall, but PERSONALLY i like that front end. And that "black plastic looking stuff" is actually Carbon Fiber (from the looks of the lights reflecting off it). However, i DO NOT like the WIDE body conversion and the rear end is Horrible, BUT is also ONE OF A KIND. Look, it has a TRUNK!.. lol... pretty slick whoever designed and thought of doing that. If i had a R/T or a 2X4 Dakota, i would DEFINITELY want that front end! But i guess im alone on this one!!

Message: I hope that this doesn't start a trend with dakotas when it comes out like it did with all imports from the first movie. It made me sad to see some many people shelling our $100+ for sticker kits that added so much HP. I guess i'll continue building horsepower in anticipation of this second travesty and wait for a challenge from one of those god awful daks.

Message: i'm by no means a fan of ricers, actually, i hate them. everyone is entitled to their opinion and tastes. but that stuff should be left for rice. i damn near cried when i saw the first movie, i couldn't belive that they actually destroyed the only worthwile car in the movie, i'm not sure i want to see this one, it'll probably just end up being a battle between muscle and rice.

Message: That truck was made about 3 years ago, it's called the SR-71 Bullet. It's made by Von Genaddi Design, and only a couple of them were ever made, just for show. Supposedly they're running 420hp with a 6-spd transmission.
I contacted them about a year ago regarding the hood/scoop design, but they said that neither it nor any of the other products on the truck are available for sale. I sort of like the front valence but most of the rest of it (especially the back end) is one of the ugliest damned conversions I've ever seen.
Here's a link to the SR-71 bullet:

Message: Craig Lieberman (owner of the orange supra and blue maxima from the first TF&TF movie) posted on the houston imports site about the casting call long before it happened--unfortunately my truck is stock inside and out and stood no chance so I didn't submit my pics and descriptions like we COULD thru a link he gave us. But, I did mention in the thread that they do something DIFFERENT seeing its a new movie, and have at least one drag truck scene, involving either a blown R/T, lightning, or syclone, or all. Guess THIS is how they mutilated my idea?!?!

Message: By the way I saw a LOT of pics from the california casting call, more than 2/3 of which did NOT make the final cut, there's no proof that the above pics aren't from a similar casting call, and this truck might have been rejected and laughed at :)
