Subject: power locks stuck IP: Logged
Message: The power locks in my 98 Dakota are stuck in the locked position. The fuse is fine, and I can hear the switch clicking under the dash when I try to use the power locks, but they won't budge. I can't even open the lock by hand or with the key. This is happening with both doors. Is the problem the switch?

Message: it sounds like it's in the lock itself, either take it in, or take the panel apart

Message: I am prtty sure there is going to be a relay for this, check to see if that is still working. Being that it is both doors that rules out the motors, you checked the fuse (both? I am thinking one under teh hood and one uin the dash), start thinking about what else there is... I think there is either a relay or a fusible link you are overlooking.

Message: Sounds like rust to me if you can't unlock them by hand. My 95 gets real hard to unlock I spray
penatrating oil on them.
