Message: hey all, i recently bought a used 2002 dakota from a chevy dealership. Before doing and business with them i had the chevy dealer contact Dodge and ask if the 7/70 was transferable. And the chevy dealer told me that dodge said it is transferable. SO 2night (bought the truck 2 days ago) i went to the dodge dealer to transfer the 7/70 and they told me it was NOT transferable. By chance does anyone know if the is true? Im really frustrated. what can i do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Message: On the Dodge website it says that it IS transferable. Call Chrysler at 1-800-992-1997 in the USA and tell them what the dealer told you.

Message: It may not be transferable, may depend on the purchase date, as all early 7/70's were NOT transferable. Being able to transfer just occurred in the last few months.
Same as my 01 doesn't have 7/70 because I bought it a couple of months before it came out.

Message: 7 years, 70,000 mile powertrain warranty.
Even though I have a 2002, I missed it by about 3 weeks. The dealer was ever so helpful and offered to sell me an extended warranty though... :-D
