 Subject: A/C, Fan switch - how to install

Ok on other trucks I had, I had a off position on my fan switch so I can get fresh air in without running the fan all the time. And the A/C had a button so I knew when the compressor was on. On my 99 Dak I don't have either one and my owners manual says my A/C may or may not be on and my fan is on all the time when the vent is open.
I want to put in a on/off switch for the fan and a on/off switch for the A/C compressor. I seen that the new Daks and Durangos have an A/C switch.
How much of a hassle and what color wires need to cut to do it. Seems like it wouldn't be that hard.
Has anybody done it?
