Message: Quick Q ?
Anybody know what size hex wrench (allen wrench ?) is
needed for removing the drain and fill plugs on a NV3500 ?
Any "trick" for filling (other than using a pump ?)

Message: It's 17 mm. They are huge and cost like $6 at Sears.
The trick is to go to the hardware store and get a 6' length of plastic tubing. The kind that you would make a beer bong out of. You can get a plastic reducer fitting shove it in the end of some 1/2" tubing. Try to get a reducer with the outlet at like 3/8" or 1/4" Shove the tubing in the filler hole and then run the rest of it up beside the tranny & motor to the engine compartment. It'll come out by the brake booster. Then put a funnel in the end and fill 'er up.
!!!CAUTION WARNING ACHTUNG ATTENTION PELIGRO!!!
It really does not take that much fluid to fill the case. Even after you think you have drained out a lot. It really only takes like a bottle and a half. Therefore, it is a good idea to be on your back looking for the first few drops to come back out of the side of the case, so that you can immediately crimp off the tubing and not waste a whole $8 quart of the MOPAR NV3500 fluid into your hair. So basically, there's no clean way to make this a one-man job. There is, however, a clean way to make this a two-man job.

Message: For filling I used some old copper tubing I had from my ice dispensor line for the frige, I taped thit to the end of my funnel and ran it from above, cost me nothing but took about 25 minutes to fill due to the small diameter of the copper tube.

Message: With the amount of metal that I cleaned off the magnetic drain plug, New Venture can suck it!
I've already got one of the infamous "pop-out-of-first-gear" versions that have to be repaired with a "recall kit." But there's no Dodge recall and it's out from under warranty. Wonder what that'll cost me out of pocket?
And now it's okay to not ever change the tranny fluid? That's even funnier......
