Message: when you installed the new bulbs did you wear gloves? Halogen bulbs are very sensitive to the oil from your skin and can cause the bulbs to blow right away.

It sounds like your switch went out. Since the light on the dash does not light up, your switch probably heated too much and blew the switch. I had this happen and is very common on the Dakotas. Go to oem-car-parts.com and look for the switch. It costs about $15-20 and is super easy to replace. Just pull the dash trim, unscrew three screws that hold the switch in, undo the two harnesses going into the switch and replace. Voila, you will have fog lights.

Message: hey guys thanks for the input, just got a question or two, when i replace the fuse if i go up on the amperage maybe 5 or 10 amps would this be bad and how bad, wat could go wrong then, i just think if i put in the fuse it calls for it will just keep going out, would this have any thing to do with the higher wattage bulbs i put in.

Message: Mixed opinions on this. I had to up the fuse for my radio in my old truck, never had a problem. I did this only after blowing the fuse a couple of times. I sent from a 3 to a 5 amp (i think). I would have to say that I do not see the problem with this but I know others will disagree. If it si the fuse try replacing it with the same size, if need be eiterh wire up a relay or try a higher fuse, but the relay with better wires is the way to go.
