Message: Ok, I took off my Smittybuilt black tubular step bars because the driving side would go down each time you stepped on it (one of the screw holes is little bit bigger than it should be due to dumbass friend) and were getting a big muddy during summer. So my question is, are there any other step bars/boards that do not require drilling 6 holes for each step (3 for the front/back)? If not, whats a good way to fix an oversized hole =/

Message: Is the oversize hole in the step or on the truck frame? There are some choices you can make depending on what you want to do.
1) Decide to sell the steps (email me if you decide to do this, I may be interested)
2) Get the hole filled in at a local weld shop, re-drill and use new hardware
3) Fill the hole in yourself with JB Weld, re-drill and use new hardware
4) Replace the stock hardware in the loose hole with oversized replacement hardware
Choice is yours.....

Message: I got some real cheap new (louvre brand) for $120. when it comes to tubular nerf bars, I found out by shopping around that they are all the same when it comes to quality. The only difference is the price and name brand. To answer your question, go to your friendly welder and have him/her weld a 2x2in metal plate of the same thikness right on top of the oversize hole and then drill a new hole of the correct size.
